Book Launch: Global Citizenship Education - Curious Teachers Critical Classrooms
01 May 2024
We’re proud of Vicky Donnelly, our Education and Outreach worker, whose work has recently been published as part of Global Citizenship Education: Curious Teachers, Critical Classrooms, a groundbreaking new book for educators.
Vicky’s contributions include co-authoring a chapter on structural inequality with Adedotun Adekeye, chapters on inclusivity and intercultural education with Ryma Halfaoui, and a chapter emphasising the need for a rights-based, justice approach to the root causes of global inequalities, written with Sharon Murphy.
Global Citizenship Education: Curious Teachers, Critical Classrooms was developed, co-authored, and edited by Dr Brighid Golden, lecturer in Global Education at MIC, and published by DICE.
Speaking at the book’s launch, Brighid Golden said, 'I believe our future is brighter because of teachers who take up the torch for GCE, as curious teachers creating critical classrooms, passing on a passion for justice to the next generation'.
