Care & Carelessness – a Feminist Economics Walking Tour of the IFSC

We’d be delighted if you’d join us for a feminist economics walking tour of the International Financial Services Centre, Dublin! As part of Culture Night on Friday the 20th of September, Financial Justice Ireland will host a walking tour of the IFSC.

Our tour will focus on the operations of the global economic system and its representation throughout Dublin’s financial district. This year, we’ve chosen to place a particular emphasis on feminist economics, asking ‘’who benefits from the care at the foundation of our societies?’’ We will bring participants on a journey through Irish history, stretching back to the War of Independence and arriving at the contemporary situation of transnational capital.

Our wonderful collaborators will join us on this tour: CATU (Community Action Tenants Union), AFRI (Action from Ireland), speakers from global feminist movements, trade unionists, and those active in climate justice politics.

We will gather at the James Connolly Memorial at 5pm and the tour will conclude at 7pm.

This is a free event. Please register here.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
